CVA Scout Youth Model in .243

    Hey guys,

I just bought my son this rifle at Sportsmans Warehouse for $199. I've been looking at the Rossi and H&R but this one just felt like it's made with higher quality. The version I bought is RT camo with a black flutted barrel and fiber optic open sights. I also bought a set of Weaver bases and Warren high rings to go with it.

Any reviews on this gun would be appreciated. I know it's after the fact but I'd still like to hear more info about the rifle and loads that work well for Whitetail.

    Thanks in advance.

Seems like a nice little rifle... As fo Whitetail rounds im a fan of Remington Core-Lock... They're not a high end round but they get the job done.

Pretty hard to beat the Remy Core-Lokts @ $16 or so for a box of 20 .308 Win. & they'll kill a deer just as dead as the so-called premium ammo at 4-5 times the price.
